Studio Guide

▶ Getting Started

1

Choose your product at the top — Challenge Coin, Poker Chip, Unit Patch, Pin, or Custom Shape.

2

Pick a template from the Templates panel to start with a pre-designed layout, or start blank.

3

Customize using the panels on the left. Click any element on the canvas to select and edit it.

4

Submit for Quote when you are happy. Our artist reviews and sends your quote within 1–2 days.

The dotted circle on the canvas is your coin boundary. Keep important elements inside it.

🤖 AI Coin Designer

1

Open Templates and use the AI Coin Designer at the top of the panel.

2

Tell the AI what you want, like your branch, colors, symbols, motto, or the kind of coin you need.

3

On mobile, tap Templates in the bottom menu to open the live AI panel.

4

After the AI builds your coin, you can still move layers, change colors, edit text, or upload your own images.

Be specific. Good prompts include the branch, finish, mood, main symbol, and exact wording you want on the coin.

📼 Working with Text

1

Go to the Text tab, type your text, choose a font and size, then click Add Text.

2

Click text on the canvas to select it. Edit its words directly in the Properties panel on the right.

3

Use letter spacing and size to clean up the fit after placing your text.

Corporate text? Use PMS colors in the Colors tab to match your exact brand colors.

⇈ Curved Coin Text

1

Select a text layer, then go to Text and choose Arc Top, Arc Bottom, or Circle.

2

Use the Radius slider to move the text farther out or farther in around the coin.

3

Use Coin, Badge, Tight, or Wide presets for faster results.

For top and bottom ring text, start with the preset that looks closest, then fine tune radius and letter spacing.

🖼 Working with Images

1

Go to Images and click the upload area, or choose from the Clipart Library.

2

Drag corners to resize. Use Crop to trim the image if needed.

3

Use Flip H or Flip V to mirror the image.

PNG files with transparent backgrounds look best on coins.

◯ Round Image Corners

1

Click an uploaded image so it is selected.

2

In the Properties panel, find Image Shape.

3

Use the Roundness slider to soften the corners, or click Make Circle for a full circle crop.

4

Use Fit Inner Circle to center the image inside the inner coin area.

This is perfect for turning square logos or patches into a clean center seal.

🏷 Text on a Banner

1

Add your banner image first and select it on the canvas.

2

Go to Text and choose a follow shape option like Banner Up, Banner Down, Scroll Wave, or S Curve.

3

Click Use Selected Banner and then add your text.

4

With the text selected, use Fit to Banner and the shape width and height controls in Properties to fine tune the curve.

Banner text works best when the banner stays centered and the text width is close to the flat middle section of the ribbon.

⚙ Edge Styles

1

Click the Edge tab in the left panel to choose your coin edge finish.

2

Options include Flat, Rope, Diamond Cut, Oblique, Cross-Cut, and Reeded.

3

The edge style shows as a preview ring on your design and is sent to your artist.

🌈 Pantone Colors

1

Select an element, then click the Colors tab to pick an exact Pantone Solid Coated color.

2

Have a corporate Pantone number? Type it directly in the box, e.g. PMS 286 C.

3

All colors used in your design are listed in the Specs tab so your artist has exact matches.

💾 Save and Share

1

Click Save to save your design. Enter your email and a name to save it to your account.

2

Click Share to get a link you can send to teammates, family, or your unit for feedback.

3

Come back any time to continue editing where you left off.
